Tires

Ok, another tire question:

I would like to put custom 5.5" wheels (Empi 8 spokes probably) on Maggie.
Can anyone recommend a tire size that would seat well on this wide of a
rim and that would not rub or interfere with the fenders/body on a '71
Square?
