I think the rusted metal parts could be appropriately fixed with 
roofing tar.  If you just have small perforations the tar would do it 
by itself; if there are big holes they I suggest using tar plus 
woven fiberglass cloth impregnated with tar to span the gaps.

Clean everything out carefully first, and start with a good rust 
inhibiting spray.  I like LPS-3.  I think you could replace the 
gasket with something generic.  Perhaps a length of the right 
diameter rubber hose, or just some kind of caulk.
