Just out of curiosity I checked the microfilm and that # came up for
M249 which is automatic transmission. M249, as I recall, was used
earlier for some engine variation, also.
The best way to be sure is to get the chassis and engine numbers. If
the engine doesn't have the original case, we need to at least know
single or dual carbs.
