in 72, I think so.
Another question: Is swapping to AT easier than teaching my wife to

Probably not.
There is more to this than you have considered. Where were you
planning to run the gearshift cable? Do you have an AT drive plate?
Did you plan to change the dist and FI to the 72 AT versions also?
