Chances are the play is in the junction between the upper torsion bar (anti-roll bar, sway bar) and the left upper trailing arm. To fix it I suggest that you remove its attachment bolts from both ends and push it right out the left side of the car. Then you can inspect it and understand what you're seeing and see if a fix is possible. The worst case is that it has been loose for too long and the hole in the UL trailing arm has been worn too much for tightening to hold. If the dimple in the left end of the rod is distorted/worn you can drill another one in the other side with a large drill bit.
