I paid $595 for my 73 Fastback...and might I add that it was "new" enough
to require an emissions test? I left it at the garage and told them to
call me if they found anything wrong...no news is good news..Well I got
home and there was a msg on my machine, I almost cried. Until I learned
they only called for the correct spelling of my last name!!! 8)

It was a storybook occurance when I got the thing licensed. As I was
taking off my regular tags and putting on the personalized plates (PSHANO)
I had people off the street asking me about the car. A cook from a
restaurant across the street even leaned out the restaurant door to shout
"What kind of car is that?" Have any of you gotten to shout at the top of
your lungs "IT'S A VOLKSWAGEN FASTBACK!"? hehehe fun fun!
