A lot depends upon how the gas is stored. First, just open the gas filler and smell the tank. If it still smells like gas, you are probably ok. If it smells like shellac, you are in trouble, and your system must be cleaned out before you try to run the car. Gas that has 'turned' will coat the valve stems, freeze the valves, and cause all kinds of trouble with carburetors, FI, fuel filters, and fuel pumps. Of course, it is possible that gas can 'turn' in a fuel pump or carb without having gone bad in the tank. You really ought to check before starting the car.
