Fernando,
First, it's ok to ask many questions in one message. :) Since your
signature is sooo big and many people are limited on the space allowed for
email it really helps them out.
Second, something you will need to help you out and answer many questions
is a shop manual. The two most recommended ones are:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
How To Keep Your Volkswagen Alive
A Manual Of Step By Step Procedures For The Compleat Idiot
by John Muir
ISBN 0-912528-33-8 (this is from an April 1977 edition so it may have
changed?)
(commonly refered to as the Idiot's Guide)
Less than $40.00
Volkswagen Official Service Manual, Type 3
Fastback and Squareback 1968-1973
published by Robert Bentley, Cambridge, Mass, 1974
ISBN 0-8376-0057-X / LPV 997 383 / VSQU
(excellent book, complete and well written)
Also about ~$40.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Idiot's Guide is the best (in my opinion) for those new to air cooled VWs as
well as working on them, especially if you don't consider yourself mechanically
and electrically inclined. The Bentley is specific to the model it represents,
in this case the T3, and has many good photos and specifications. Another
fairly good shop manual I have that contains info on all of the T3s (pre-1968)
is by Haynes.

P.S. Greg, wanna edit and FAQ this?
