Please provide a few more details. Do you have fuel injection or carbs? What do you mean by "jitters"? Is it a vibration you feel in the body of the car, or is it some kind of power surging from the engine? It could be several things, so you need to be more specific. > Also, I'm going blue in the face trying to change down into 2nd without > grinding/clunking. When down shifting, it helps to rev the engine a little before engaging the clutch after you've shifted the transmission. This matches the engine speed to the clutch disc, reducing shocks and making your clutch last a little longer. Also check your clutch free play. Does 2nd grind on upshifting? If so, then that synchro is worn out, otherwise, it's either a clutch free play problem or a driver skill problem. I guess it could be sloppy shifter, too. hope this helps. **************************************************************************** Dirk Wright wright@pioneer.uspto.gov 1971 BMW 2002 "I speak for myself and not my employer." 1974 Porsche 914 2.0 "A real hifi glows in the dark and has horns." 1965 Goodman House ****************************************************************************
