I have been on this list for about a month now but have been finishing up
school so I didn't have much time to introduce myself. My name is
Bridgett and live in Washington State in the middle of the wheat fields.
Anyway, I have a '71 SB that I have had since I was sixteen and bought it
from the original owner. I drive it everywhere and it is finally getting
tired. I also recieved a '70 SB for my 21st birthday and have been using
it as a part car. The '70 SB still has the fuel injection system and
doesn't run, yet...
My '71 has duel carbs and I am having a heck of a time keeping them tuned.
I also have this lingering problem that the fuel is mixing with the oil!
yuck, but I have been trying everything to prevent another engine
replacement. We have backed off the fuel pump pressure to around 3 PSI
but I just keep telling my dad that it is the floats in the carbs. Any
insight?
