Phillip is all tuned-up, and spinning like a top. I'm ready for the first freeway cruise down to Woodburn, Oregon for the annual bug drags. Are any T-3 listers going to be there? I will be the one with the faded Seesand squareback and a very pregnant wife. I am quite happy with my first tune-up. To all those "beginners" who read the tech talk here, my advice is to go do it! I have 4 different manuals, but I abandoned the others, my best assistant was Muir's Idiot guide. I spent $30 for parts up front and replaced everything right off the bat: dist. cap, points, rotor, plug wires (actually they sold me "bug" wires the first time), spark plugs, plastic fuel filters (two), and valve cover gaskets. It was pretty easy work (other than stuck valve covers), but it took two separate days of afternoons (the first day I drank too much beer because I had a buddy over). Now the car starts on the first try, it idles ~200 RPM higher without touching the carbs, and I can hear it practicaly roar when I accelerate. A real dramatic improvement. Anyways, email me if your going Peter Parker ferocious Phillip; '66 Square Portland, OR USA
