Electronic Ignition???

I installed a Pertronix (sp?) unit in the distributor of a customer's type 4 
last year.  It is a very cute unit and, at $50, almost reasonable in price.  
So this year he comes back to me with one that he bought for his type 3.  

I rebuilt his distributor (mech adv had frozen up) and installed the 
Pertronix... only to find that in the end it didn't clear the rotor.  It 
seems the T3 distributor is specially short and the rotor crowds right down 
on the breaker plate compared to most of the other VW distributors.  Well, 
we were both disappointed, but I just put the points back in and he went 
back to talk to the people he bought it from.

So, I think I would like this unit, but this one didn't fit.  Does anyone 
know if they make a model that does fit?  It would have to be about 1/4" 
shorter.
