FI cars have the coil mounted to the left of the generator, pointing
forward. There is a special bracket that clamps to the fan housing with a
longer bolt. The strap that wraps around the coil is "part of the coil" and
is not the piece that I am talking about. I have OE refinished brackets if
that's what broke. If fastened correctly, the bracket will never break.
