Sorry, Gang.  His words were approx. 40MPG an as far as I can remember wheels 
and tyres are 165/65R15.  So that would be about right.  I think they're 65s, 
could be 75s but definitely 165s on 15 inch wheels.

He's not the easiest guy to understand and he is of German decent, but the car 
is indeed as the factory made it with no additional performance add ons.

Have you tried eating a hot meat pie and chips driving along at 64mph (100kmh) 
with hands on the food and knees on the wheel, feet on the pedals on a windy 
day.  Now whilst I don't recommend it, you can certainly get up to some fun in 
them thar Type 3s when your in a hurry.  Why didn't they install a can holder 
for that Coke or Pepsi though? :)
