Yes! I found a new daily driver for myself on the weekend, a 1965 Squareback 1500S. Here's the stats: 134K original miles Original paint - Turquoise(?) blue, kind of wearing out. Completely stock with the exception of a dual-circuit disc brake front end, a minor lowering job, and custom wheels/tires. Minor surface rust under the driver's seat - leaky door seal and 2 years of rain will do that... I'm the 3rd owner! Nice, completely original interior. Minor damage on the rear apron. Came with all the original parts that were replaced - 5 lug front end, original shocks. Original owner's manual and Medical kit - cool! The clock even works! _Nothing_ leaks - didn't think that was possible on a VW... What it needs: Carpet kit. Original radio - 6V. Carb rebuild? It had a some trouble going highway speeds and accelerating under a load on the way home - perhaps due to the fact it's been sitting for 4 years? Opinions on this behavior are more than welcome. I'm excited! I haven't had a Type III for 4 years and once I slipped behind that wheel, all the great memories came back!
