I took a tow bar for a Bug, and modified it so it would fit the T3.The
modification was nothing more than attaching the meter-long plate (that
attaches to the bug bumper) to 2 peices of bolted 2x6x5 boards. On the
other side of this get-up, I attached a spare set of bumper support arms
(the things that attach the T3 bumpers to the body frame/chasis).When I
need to tow, I remove the front bumper & support arms from my T3 and
replace them with my modified tow bar set-up. The removable tow bar
attaches to the plate that is now a part of the bumber. The car is still
drivable, just detach the tow bar. The 2-2x6x6 boards mounted to the front
end are ugly, but function just fine as bumpers.
