Wiper switch

Dearest type 3 listserve,
	Some time back I read a post regarding repairing the wiper switch. 
What was the replacement source (other than a stash of old switches) for
the special gasket at the end of the pin?  Mines cracked and has a hole
in it from the pin punching through.
	If I can find/make a gasket, I got myself another little problem; as I
don't remember how to get the thing back together after drilling off the
two rivets.  I am contemplating drilling and taping the 1/8" (3 mm)
protruding studs.  Or maybe some type of tiny self taping screw.
	Anyone? (WHO SUGGESTED THIS FOOLHARDY TRICK ANYWAYS?)
