Check all wires against a wiring diagram. You need to have 12 positive volts to the + side of the coil, I know that much. This comes from the ignition switch. On my baby that particular contact broke so I have a rocker switch I use to supply power to the coil. Make sure your wires from your points are connected to the coil properly as well (and maybe test the condenser). Author: type-3-errors@umich.edu at SMTPGATE Date: 6/9/97 8:52 PM I just installed my motor into my '73 squareback a week ago. I replaced starter, generator, regulator and a coil. Just converted the car into dual carburetor. When I start the car, the starter works fine but there are no sparks coming out from coil. I checked out the coil on the other car that works fine. I could not trace the problem since I rechecked the wires I installed. Am I missing something here? Any tips or advices would be great.... -jk
