Wait a minute for the prices. Now some answers to your questions!
No they do not require any drilling whatsoever! They sort of fit between
the window rubber and the glass at the top and sort of do the same at
the bottom without damaging anything.
These are reproductions of the originals but it is fair to say equal to
the originals as this company made them 20 to 30 years ago so you could
consider them to be new stock, not reproductions. They are almost
identical to originals excluding the screws etc which change over the
years- no one can tell the difference. I have both repro's and originals
and I am now of the opinion that if I get rid of the originals at least
the new ones are fresh painted and aren't bent from years of people
bending them or whatever they do.
They look ultra cool, particularly on some cars such as my restored 1956
black oval window bug which is slightly lowerred and rides whitewall
tyres and has the white mudflaps an inch from the ground- very very very
cool! I know what cool is!
The best bit is they actually keep the sun off of your lovely original
or restored interior at the back. I wish my '64 'S' Notch had one from
day one as my back seat is a little cooked at the top unfortunately. (it
has one now)
For a picture which is very poor but it shows a venetian if you look
carefully, look at greg's pages and find the picture of my notch!
More news soon as I can find the prices!
Cheers,
Aaron, Adelaide South Australia.
