These knobs all open fresh air vents. All years have 4 vents, 2
upper and 2 lower. In all years the upper vents are between the dash
and the windshield.
On 68-70s, the top knob opens two top vents, and the bottom one opens
the bottom vents. The bottom vents are completely under the dash.
For 71-3 the top knob opens the 2 right side vents and the bottom
one opens the 2 left side vents. The bottom vents (L & R) are built
into the dash.
