I think the sensors and injectors might work but the intake system is
different. The spacing of the ports is incredibly different so That
will have to be figured out. The trans will work but I am not sure
about sheet metal.
Anything can be made to into anything with enough work!

It was my understanding (From John Connolly on
rec.autos.makers.vw.aircooled newslist who apparently has done this) that
putting a T4 engine in a TIII car was a great match. Trany's should match,
engine size should be about the same and wiring should be the same. If the
bus engine has FI heads then the FI should work as they both use the
D-jetronic systems which should work for 1.6L-2.?L range.
Hopefully I am not mis-quoting John. Somebody may want to post this to the
r.a.m.v.a newslist to be sure.

ope, your FI won't work on it. Also, you will have to perform some mods as
well, like actually fitting it in the back, and probably mating it to your
tranny. Then wiring everything...it won't be easy, but with some time you
can do it.

I have a 69 fastback and thinking of putting a bus 2 liter motor in, but
I don't know if I should put my fuel injection on it or not. My fuel
injection right now works great but my engine is going and I want more
power, so I figure I will go with a 2 liter, I just don't know if my
fuel injection will fit or work on it any ideas??????
