Hi All, I'm going to be getting a new tranny soon (it's getting really old cruising around it 3rd gear) and was wondering how to remove the axle bearings. According to the Bentley a special puller is needed with thin long arms. Haynes says to carefully beat (oximoron ?) the axle in till you can get a bearing seperator behind it. This does not sound like a real good idea. I've looked at Sears and through the Snap On catalog but can't find a puller that looks like it will work. Anyone know where to get one or a better way to remove the bearings?
