Tonight I jumped my wire from the CORRECT power lead to the coil, and the car started right up! The clicking I had heard last night was the electric chokes turning on (that's good). To prove and confound the intermitancy of this problem, I was able to yank off the jumper and the car continues to run. I guess that's a good thing. It started and ran swell a couple more times tonight. So now I've tracked down to the coil power wire being intermitant. Next step?? I know '66 ignitions are rare, but I have a lead on where to find them if necessary...
