Re: Synthetic Oil for type 3


Interesting.  On Type2 or was it Vanagon list there was a long discussion 
on synthetic oil, with several people who have used both in the same 
engine, with detailed reports of engine oil and cyl head temp.  My 
conclusion, change to synthetic.  Note: one has to convert correctly, 
or stuff the synth brings out, loosens up, etc. and can clog oil 
passages, thus leading to bad things!
