Black means it is running too rich.  When you shut the key off the FI 
should completely stop all delivery of fuel.  It should not be 
possible for it  to run on like a carb could (even without spark.)

Okay here are a couple of things to check:
1)  When you get in the car and turn the key ON, do you hear one set 
of relays clicking, and then ~1 sec later another click?

2) Is the vacuum hose to the Pressure Sensor connected?

3) What kind of gas mileage are you getting?

4) With the engine running at medium speed what voltage do you 
measure at the fuse box?
