Here's my problem........... I was down in Tennessee a couple of months back and I spotted a very solid, decent running 73 Squareback with factory air and all that for $750 at a used car dealer. It's the owner's car. But, I have a 73 Beetle and we're only allowed 3 cars at our apartment complex. Between my wife's Nissan and my slowly dying Sunbird and the bug, that's it. So, I've been trying to sell the Beetle ever since. I have a great deal of $$ in it - it's in excellent shape, but the only calls I get are from high school kids parents who just want to buy it for them 'cause they're "cute". It would kill me to sell the car off to someone who is just going to not take care of it. My mechanic would also kill me! It's in the paper for $3500, but I know I'll never get what it's worth, so I'd go down to $2900. If any of you know of anyone around Cincinnati who is looking for a solid Beetle, please tell me and I'll forward more specifics. ~~~~~~ Also - the group is great.
