Boyd - On the early T3's this gizmo operated a latch mechanism on the seats. When the door is opened the lever released the latch allowing the seat to fold forward allowing rear passengers an opportunity to enter, at least those without significant gynastical abilities! Others say it's the rear seat ejector mechanism, operate ONLY with the sunroof open! Common to be frozen, lots of Liquid Wrench or Kroil (NOT WD-40). Should help. - Jeff '67 Sqbk > Date: 08-Jul-1997 11:04:56 -0600 > To: type-3@umich.edu > From: bdrew@streetinc.com (Boyd Drew) > Subject: Interesting little levers in my door jambs > OK, > > > I have these little levers at the bottom of both of my door jambs in my '65 Notchback 1500s.
