Notchback Questions

Ok, This mught be a long winded one, so hang on.....

I finally picked up my '65 1500S Notchback ('70 pan w/ front disks) and brought it home. After cleaning out the interior full of crap (isn't it always this way!) I bagen to survey what I had to work with (I also found the original German owners manual BONUS!!!!). After checking everything out, I have determined that I need a few things right away. 1st, I need a steering wheel, I am using one from a friends '65 type I right now. I am also looking for an original radio.

I am planning to lower the car and put my EMPI Sprint stars on it, but with this being my first t-III I have no idea what to do to the front. I dont have to cut it do I, If so I will reconsider as I dont want to hack this little car up. I know how to readjust the rear spring plates in the rear.

Along with my $400.00 Notch came a whole schmear of T-III parts, almost a whole car worth. There is a '70 pan (I will be using this, sorry) A bunch of fenders, original variant trunk script, and a whole box of carbs, manifolds. And a bunch of other stuff that I havent sorted my way through yet. Soon I will post a listing of all the parts that I have that I do not need so you guys can maybe find that missing item.

GREG: I need as much Type III information as I can get my hands on, engine info, suspension info, etc.. I am getting ready to seperate the pan from the body and cannot find any information on this. From what I have seen by looking at the car, I have to pull the motor, trans, mounting fork, front end stuff, then unbolt the body. Any pointers you have would be fantastic.

Thanks guys,

Drew\
