Thanks to everyone for giving me feedback on my previous problem - my '65 Square was having trouble starting - I had to floor the gas and crank it for at least 30 seconds, it then ran perfect once it started. Here's the resolution in case you are interested: It was a combination of dirty/bad wiring connections _everywhere_ plus bad points, a bad electronic cutoff valve, one bad electric choke, carbs out of synch and out of tune; basically everything was way off. The weird thing is, everything looked new, like someone had been taking really good care of the mechanicals... I replaced the electronic shutoff valves with mechanical valves available from my FLAPS, put new points in, and cleaned some connections and it started a little easier. I'm going to replace the dizzy cap and go through all the ignition wiring cleaning up or replacing all the connections. Hopefully that will solve everything. I feel kind of stupid that is was, basically, just dirty wiring but oh, well, I guess it's my initiation back into Type III land. Now I know a lot more about how the fuel and wiring systems work. I must have read my manuals so many times that I probably could recite the troubleshooting sections by memory... Know anyone with an extra 6v choke (right-hand side) for the stock 1500/1600 dual-carbed 32-PICT? I called 2 FLAPS - one wanted $60!, the other told me to search the junkyard, they haven't been made for 15 years. Right, let me just go and get some parts off all those early Type IIIs sitting in the junkyard - good luck! (Although I saw a stripped '64 Notch in the junkyard last year - you can believe I did a double-take on that...)
