The original Notchback has similar styling traits as other European sedans of the early sixties. The Volvo 125 wagon (I think, also known as the Amazon), dates to 1958 I believe. From a distance it does look very similar to the rear quarter view of a Squareback, I've had a few doubletakes myself! So I don't think anyone was copying anyone else, they were just following the same trends. IMHO I think both cars are nicely styled. Graham
