red dash red dash red dash

Dudes,
I think some people are getting confused with this red dash top
deal. I am only concerned with the Type 3 notch/fast and variant as T3
KG's dash tops just don't fit so good. Sure you could get red or brown
as an option for the T34 in '66 but I have heard it was possible to get
red for a T31/36 etc. If you have proof could someone publish the
picture. Very keen to get my hands on one if indeed they do exist.
Also on the fender beading subject. I was of the understanding that all
the red shaded vehicles had the same red beading, likewise all the blue
vehicles had the same blue beading, like my 'S' has green beading. Are
we sure that VW brought out a different colour of red etc for every
shade of red body colour, or are we just referring to the body colours
and taking a guess that VW made fender beading that colour exactly. I
would like to see part numbers for these beadings. My information from
1961 official VW 1500 parts manual (yes the real thing!), lists:
black 005
ruby red 028
gulf blue 029
pearl white 032
anthracite 039
birch green 043

the part numbers range from 311 821 705A and on (I have all the
specifics if you must know them!).
I am led to believe that my 'S' even though it is velvet green (L512-
which is the paint code- not the beading code) has birch green beading-
am I wrong/right/a dummy?
