8 spoke empi's

     I would say YES.  I had Empi's with 195/60/15's rear and 195/50/15's 
     front.  The front was lowered two notches.  This was a 69 fastback. I 
     barely rubbed.  I would only rub when I hit large bumps or when toting 
     a heavy passenger in back.  I would think you could run 185 55 15's no 
     problem on those rims.
