Type 3 Confusion Re:

Someone once thought mine was an MG. It does resemble a Volvo 124 from a
distance...

Here's my best guess to the weirdness... The '61s through '65s had pointy
signals. Then the american spec ones from '66-'67 had an ovalish chrome
assembly that wrapped around, with an oval lens. In '68-'69 they went
back to the pointy ones, possibly to meet side marker regulations. In '70
they went to the new nose, which had a bigger lens that wrapped around
and incorporated a seperate side marker and reflector. I'm sure some of
that is right. :)
