And will discs work in the future? > Your simplest disk brake solution is to look for '66 and later T3 brakes (front disk). Of course this a 4 lug pattern so you will need to switch wheels as well. The later stock rims are wider than the earlier rims so your tires will spread out a little and take on a lower profile.
