Very similar, just clean them up.  In 25 years I have only had one set that 
I was not comfortable doing that to.  Don't file them, just clean the dirt 
off.  Slipping a piece of clean cardboard (like a business card) works 
nicely.  They just get a flake of something in them and then it's all over 
until you clean it out.
