I don't think its possible (unless using an NOS seal) to get the winshield
sealed without RTV. I had same problem in 90 when i got a new windshield and
seal and soon yours will leak at the body to gasket as well!
AS LONG AS THE SURFACES ARE CLEAN a small bead of black RTV, smoothed
with your finger will seal for years. Use one glass and body side, it takes
a little practice to get a neat thin bead but when done properly its not noticable.
