Clock to tach

Sizing: Measure the diameter of the gauge housing or the diameter of the
hole in the dash -- this is the diameter you want to order. Don't take
your measurement from the bezel (the decorative ring you see around the
gauge when looking at it normally) as this is generally bigger.

I can check my receipt but since I bought the tach quite a ways back you'd
be best off to just call around for a price. You can get tachs anywhere
they sell auto parts and prices vary. I prefer VDO but the variety of
gauges out there is quite extensive so I'd recommend looking around (JC
Whitney has a good variety and usually lower prices). I used the Cockpit
series as I liked the simplicity of the black bezel and black & white faces
with bold red needles. They are reminiscent of earlier Porsche 911
instrumentation -- simple, communicative, yet unequivocally essential. As
I get more instrumentation I will stick with the Cockpit series to keep
uniformity.

VDO has a pamphlet of its various instrumentation lines, all quite
complete, even with clocks and vacuum/boost (turbo) gauges! If anyone
can't find a pamphlet let me know and I'll see if I can send ya one.
www.vdo.com is currently under construction.

My clock stopped clocking eons ago, too, and I could use a tach in that
space. Where did you find a tach that fit, and how much did it cost?
