What I hear you guys are saying is that there is asbestos lining INSIDE the
exchanger, correct? I thought it was just on the outside. If it's just on
the outside how can the dust be getting on the inside?

I removed the insulation from the heaters on the 'S' like Theo, and have
baked enamelled the box's gray like factory. I agree to remove the
asbestos and get rid of it. The heaters are much easier to clean too and
they still work fantastic.
