Wilson,
OK lets start the flame war.8*)
Carbs VS FI.
I will offer my opinions. I don't think that working on FI is too
complicated. You need to have patience, multimeter and a Bentleys
Book. If you want Hi-perf you have many more options and lower costs
with Carbs. If you want a fuel efficient and slightly more powerful
stock motor then FI is the way to go. I personally think it is easier
to tune a FI car. You don't have to sync the carbs. I think everyone
will agree that the single progressive carb is something to stay away
from in a Type 3.
I vote for "go with what you are comfortable with"
if you aren't willing to learn how to work on FI and you already know
how to tune carbs then stick with them.
If you don't know much about tuning carbs and you are willing to learn
about FI the stick with them.
And don't listen to anyone that tells you parts are too hard to find
for FI. So many people are busy ripping out good FI systems that good
used parts are a dime a dozen.
