> I bought and restored a 63 red needle MPH speedo for my 65 Notch >because the dial has a crack in mine. Got it all done and (smack DOH!) >it only goes to 90 not 100 (wrong one for me)!!! > Anywho, its all restored, ODO set to 0, and is the correct MPH >speedo for the 63's (4/63) and possibly the 61 and 2's as well. > >Offers?? Do you plan on spending much time above 90, or are you just concerned that it won't read out right? The ratio will only depend on the tire size; I don't know what size early T3s ran, so that might be a small problem. A good speedometer shop, however, can recalibrate it for you if it needs it; the odometer still won't read right, though. Late VDO gauges stamp the ratio on the back of the speedo case (eg: W 0.82) so you can always compare ratios between the two that you have to see how far off it will be. Do early ones have this number also?
