Well I just purchased a new addition I was excited about. I do
also have a question at the end.
I just picked up a 72 fastback for $200. It has a solid body.
I only found some slight surface rust at the rear behind the cooling
vents. The battery tray is not even rusted all the way through.
The PO tried to "fix" the FI problems. What a hack job! He
replaced the injectors and a relay and tried to rewire the system. I
think I will use the extra parts for my other one and slap the extra
carbs I have on it. I am one that usually would replace the FI but man
this thing is in need of some wiring help.
The headliner is beautiful, carpet good but the seats suck.
I got a quote of $575 to recover all of my seats if I brought
them in out of the vehicle and disassembled. Yikes!!! That seems too
high to me??
So my question is What does everyone think about the different
brands of seat covers? I a pretty sure I can recover them myself with a
kit. Would anyone care to comment on their brand, quality, and cost? I
am sort of thinking Sewfine since I have seen some of their stuff but I
always keep my options open.
