I've had a couple of recent experiences with regard to wiring that surprised me with their originality. One of these days I'll get around to fixing both problems. In our '66 Ghia I was having some electrical problems related to the fuse box conections and I took it to a mechanic because I didn't have time to fiddle with it. After he got done, the connections were generally better - its amazing what good contact will do for a 6 volt wiper motor. But when I turned on the headlights nothing happened. After a bit of fiddling I found that the brights work fine so I've been driving that way all winter. In my daughter's '67 Bug one of the headlights recently burned out. When I put the replacement in and tried to check the line-up of the beam I found that one light was on high beam and the other on low beam.
