It's possible that there is something wrong with the aux contacts in your throttle valve switch. If you have the Bentley manual and an ohmeter you can check them out. Each should give a series of contact closures as you depress the throttle and nothing as the pedal is released. Signals the brain to do the throttle-pump thing. I have seen switches where misguided mechanics had destroyed parts of the innards; you know how it goes "Oh, you don't really need those." I've never seen any benefit from cleaning these injectors, but it's possible. Have you checked the fuel pressure under load? (ie while driving.)
