Re: Type-3 Parts

Sean,
I'm looking for a NOS driver's side retractor assembly for a '72
Squareback, whatcha got? Since mine are not retracting all the way I'm
looking for one that works like new.

Question:
I purchased a *complete* NOS passenger-side front seat belt assembly from
Jonce (thanks again!) and I have a question for those in the know. The
part number begins with 323. OK, I know that the last digit is the year,
thus '73. The first two digits are the model, in this case a Type 3, thus
it's an air cooled suitcase engine. But exactly what model? I've seen 31,
34 and 36. What's a 32? A notch?

I have never been interested in part numbers before but now that I'm buying
more and more for my baby I'd kinda like to know.

I am in Jacksonville, Florida and I have Type-3 parts I want to sell (all
are from Squarebacks, but some parts will work on others....).

I have body parts as well as some engine parts and interior.
