Anyone know what started the CAL look thing anyway?? is it that much cheaper to
produce the window rubber without the groove cut?? It seems to me that OE
repros would be easier to get than something different but in our VW world
the opposite seems true.
We cant seem to get the original look repro's any more so everyone is going
CAL look (for monetary reasons as well) but is this devaluing our cars in the future?? will the Fad pass as most do? In many other Antique car categories
originality is much more stressed and the money goes to producing a repro as
close to the original as possible.
Just seems to me like finding a VW (not just T3) with the original look
is getting pretty hard.
