Pulley shroud

     Well,
I am going to make some assumptions. This might be a bad thing but
I thin I will guess correctly. You don't mention where the two extra
cutouts are so I am going to guess that 1. you don't have the original
exhaust. 2. the holes are the two extra lines for the heater. When
people remove the original exhaust these two extra little heat
exchanges go with the old exhaust.

The pulley shroud on my Squareback has two extra cutouts in it (approx..
4 cm. diam., not the timing port), unconnected to anything. Does anyone
think it's important to seal them up?

On a related topic, those of you who have done some oxy-acetylene
welding on cooling tin: what tip size and approximate gas pressures do
you use? Thanks in advance.
