That's right, everyone-- Clear out of here! This list will self-destruct in 24-48 hours. It's time to take the new list for a spin around the block! You have your choice of "normal" subscription (get each message separately as it is posted) or "digest" (the whole day's messages lumped together in one large daily e-mail message). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ NORMAL SUBSCRIPTION: Send e-mail to "majordomo@vwtype3.org" with this message in the *body* of your mail: subscribe type3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DIGEST SUBSCRIPTION: Send e-mail to "majordomo@vwtype3.org" with this message in the *body* of your mail: subscribe type3-digest ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You will then receive a pair of messages in resonse... one (titled "Confirmation for subscribe type3") will have you confirm the request; you'll do this by replying with a message containing something like: auth [secret_code] subscribe type3 [your_email_address] (This will be explained in the instructions; it's done to keep people from subscribing others to the list against their will.) I will keep the old list up for a day or two, then shut it down--future posts to type-3@umich.edu will get an automated response directing folks to the new list. For folks on vacation right now, don't worry--I'll reserve the posts during the transition time so that you won't miss a thing (they'll be made available via e-mail autoresponders & via the web).
