It's something I'm contemplating for my baby. The Fiat 128 had a similar knob on the dash. You'd pull it out to the desired setting and then turn it to lock it in place. It also worked as a crude cruise control, as long as you were on level ground. Then again, our '24 Studebaker has a throttle control lever on the steering wheel. Dave
