The estuchion is the little aluminuim thingy that lives under the light switch knob. Have a seat behind the wheel and remove the knob by twisting it just like a nut. That's the easy part. Removing the estuchion can be a real pain. I have used a pair of bent needlenose pliers to remove these. Be careful not to scratch the dashboard, and BY NO MEANS should you grab the switch and try to turn it. There is a little 'key' dent in the dashboard that keeps the mounting part of the switch from turning when you remove the estuchion. I found this out when the guy at the body shop ripped the switch off of the mounting, leaving both the mounting AND the estuchion still on the dashboard. The switch is now destroyed, and that fellow (who has since been fired from that body shop) insisted that the switch was fine. I noticed he didn't have much to say about the estuchion, still on the dashboard. I believe that a tool could be made for that pretty easily, but I've usually had success using the needlenose. Maybe someone else knows about availability of a tool for that. There's a company called ImParts (http://www.imparts.com) that may have the tool, but it will be pricey because they mainly deal in Porsche and BMW stuff. Jake Kooser
