T3 literature on the web...

Howdy folks,

	Point your browsers to:

	http://www.vwtype3.org/literature/

and have a look at what I've been up to while the service provider gets the
new list's digest format going <grumble>. I've been experimenting with
ways of digitizing Type III documents in formats that don't take up lots of
disk space and can download quickly, while still preserving quality.
(Don't pay too much attention to the header on this page--the menu links
won't lead you anywhere terribly interesting at the moment.) I've got 1/4
of my 1969 glovebox owner's manual available there, and it takes about one
minute to download over a 28.8 modem. It's in (relatively) accessible
".pdf" format; see explanation on the page.

Also, I'm "wiring in" a link to the translation services at
babelfish.altavista.digital.com so that folks who speak Deutsch, francais,
italiano, portugues and espanol can have a shot at the content of these
pages. (Why not?)

	Lemme know what you think!
